For over 33 years, Browne has proudly served as the framework provider for Thames Water's reservoir maintenance, supporting the vast network of reservoirs that supply water to millions of Londoners and into the Thames Valley. In 2025, Browne undertook some of its most ambitious projects yet, with major works completed simultaneously at two of London’s largest water treatment works, Coppermills WTW and Hampton WTW. Combined, these two sites provide over half of London’s water supply, making their efficient operation essential for the city.

In recognition of Black History Month, Browne is excited to announce a special webinar titled "Reclaiming Narratives in Engineering," aimed at providing crucial career advice and opportunities to the next generation of Black engineering talent. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, 30th October 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and will feature guidance on apprenticeships, graduate programs, and CV support for Black engineering students, graduates, and soon-to-be graduates.

Browne is proud to announce the successful completion of the £4.2 million final phase of works at Hampton Water Treatment Works (WTW), a key asset that delivers a third of London’s water supply. Over the course of a year (Phase 1 North Reservoir Cell - 19/06/23 to 23/11/23 and Phase 2 South Reservoir Cell - 15/04/24 to 16/08/24), we worked closely with MWH on behalf of Thames Water to carry out essential maintenance, both on a reactive and planned basis.

On behalf of Thames Water, Browne will soon be delivering a significant infrastructure project along Fonthill Road, Islington. Over the course of approximately 11 weeks, two aging cast iron mains, a 4-inch and 6-inch, will be replaced by a larger 180mm polyethylene barrier pipe. This rationalisation will improve the network's efficiency and significantly reduce the likelihood of bursts and service interruptions.

Last week marked an exciting milestone for Browne as we proudly launched our latest Apprenticeship Programme, welcoming a diverse group of apprentices into the IT, SHEQ, Procurement, Environment & Sustainability, and Commercial disciplines. Over the next 3-6 years, these future stars will be working, learning, and earning with us as they build their careers in the construction and utilities sectors.

On Wednesday, 18th September, Browne was honored with the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award at a ceremony held in the Sovereigns' Room at the Royal Air Force Club, Piccadilly. This prestigious award recognises Browne's commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community and its ongoing efforts in fostering an inclusive work environment for service members and veterans.

In celebration of National Inclusion Week, Browne Construction continues to highlight its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Browne has made significant strides in fostering an inclusive culture across its workforce. A key moment in this journey occurred on September 12th, when Browne held the first workshop session of its Empowering Differences Programme at the Rosedale Sports Club in Cheshunt.

We are pleased to announce that Browne have secured a position on the Southern Water AMP 8 Capital Infrastructure Low Complexity Delivery Route (LCDR) Framework - Lot 2, for Wastewater.  The framework has an estimated value of £406m over a 5-year duration extendable by up to 3 years.
