For over 33 years, Browne has proudly served as the framework provider for Thames Water's reservoir maintenance, supporting the vast network of reservoirs that supply water to millions of Londoners and into the Thames Valley. In 2025, Browne undertook some of its most ambitious projects yet, with major works completed simultaneously at two of London’s largest water treatment works, Coppermills WTW and Hampton WTW. Combined, these two sites provide over half of London’s water supply, making their efficient operation essential for the city.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, 30th October 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and will feature guidance on apprenticeships, graduate programs, and CV support for Black engineering students, graduates, and soon-to-be graduates.

Browne is proud to announce the successful completion of the £4.2 million final phase of works at Hampton Water Treatment Works (WTW), a key asset that delivers a third of London’s water supply. Over the course of a year (Phase 1 North Reservoir Cell - 19/06/23 to 23/11/23 and Phase 2 South Reservoir Cell - 15/04/24 to 16/08/24), we worked closely with MWH on behalf of Thames Water to carry out essential maintenance, both on a reactive and planned basis.

Browne Prepare for Victorian Mains Replacement Project on Fonthill Road, Islington

On behalf of Thames Water, Browne will soon be delivering a significant infrastructure project along Fonthill Road, Islington. Over the course of approximately 11 weeks, two aging cast iron mains, a 4-inch and 6-inch, will be replaced by a larger 180mm polyethylene barrier pipe. This rationalisation will improve the network's efficiency and significantly reduce the likelihood of bursts and service interruptions.
