Browne is proud to announce the successful completion of the £4.2 million final phase of works at Hampton Water Treatment Works (WTW), a key asset that delivers a third of London’s water supply. Over the course of a year (Phase 1 North Reservoir Cell - 19/06/23 to 23/11/23 and Phase 2 South Reservoir Cell - 15/04/24 to 16/08/24), we worked closely with MWH on behalf of Thames Water to carry out essential maintenance, both on a reactive and planned basis.
Our team installed a fully welded membrane, covering a total area of 7200m², ensuring long-term protection and operational efficiency. In addition, we performed extensive cementitious repairs to the structure, enhancing its durability and performance.
Our team worked at heights of 7 meters, utilising no less than 140 scaffold arrangements to carry out the repairs. Despite these complexities, we maintained a safe working environment throughout.
It has been great to work with MWH and contribute to their overall project management, which allowed half of the reservoir to remain in service while maintenance work was underway. This collaboration demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions that ensure the continued reliability of London’s essential water infrastructure.
We strive for excellence in utilities, and look forward to future opportunities to support Thames Water, MWH and other clients in maintaining critical infrastructure.
