Experience Required

  • Previous compliance desk experience desirable
  • Water/utility network experience desirable.
  • Experience / understanding of one or more of a Works Management System, Excel, Power BI etc.
  • Able to write and present reports in a concise but interesting manner

Role Purpose

The Compliance Desk is responsible for ensuring that all works projects adhere to regulatory standards, company policies, and industry’s best practices. The QA & Compliance Coordinator role involves monitoring compliance activities, maintaining records to ensure that all civil engineering works are executed in accordance with legal and safety requirements. The QA & Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role in mitigating risks, promoting a culture of compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Role Summary

  • Compliance Monitoring: Review and monitor works projects to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, satisfying customer requirements and safe working practice. Identify potential compliance issues and work with teams to resolve issues.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure the business maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities, including permits, inspections, and audits.
  • Incident Reporting: Manage and report any compliance incidents or breaches, and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the implementation of company policies and procedures related to compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving compliance processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
