Role Purpose

To undertake civils work on the drainage network across the Southern water region.

Role Summary

  • To receive and follow instructions given by the supervisor /civils manager

  • To undertake a daily pre-start, Point of Works Risk Assessment (POWRA) and brief the risk to your team members and to all visitors to site and get same to sign acknowledgement 

  • To carry out CCTV surveys work as described in the work order in a timely and safe fashion, including but not limited: dig down repair, manhole rebuilds/Covers, and AFD/interceptor install/removal

  • To always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (clothing) which is provided by the Company

  • To be able to use a hand-held device to capture the relevant information from the job

  • To complete paperwork in tidy and timely manner

  • To ensure that any vehicle you are driving is road worthy before you drive it by undertaking and recording daily vehicle checks including for trailers and towable plant

  • To ensure that any vehicle you drive is maintained clean and in good order

Experience Required

Relevant experience in civil engineering is essential, with water or utility network experience being desirable.

Role Purpose

As a Projects Manager at CBUL, your primary responsibility is to ensure the successful delivery of various gravity and pressurised wastewater system projects.

In this role you will be integral to the input throughout the whole lifecycle of schemes from project inception, pricing, programming, planning, execution, and asset integration close out ensuring schemes are delivered safely, compliantly, on-time and within budget. 

Role Summary

  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to obtain necessary information, licenses, and permits, and to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Planning and Documentation: Develop and maintain project programs in line with Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) requirements, including the preparation of Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and other relevant documentation.

  • Commercial Management: Collaborate with the commercial team on scoping, pricing, and contract matters, advising on any changes affecting cost, quality, and schedule.

Role Purpose

Our Project Engineers are an essential part of a highly skilled team responsible for the design, procurement, and delivery of M&E projects. Working with clients, suppliers and project delivery teams they ensure projects are set up and delivered efficiently and within budget.

Role Summary

  • Responsible for the coordination and delivery of projects ranging in value and complexity, ensuring all projects to be undertaken are to an agreed cost, scope, and program.

  • Support the preparation the project design and estimate (pre-implementation)

  • Analyse and understand client specifications and ensure projects are designed to meet their requirements in an efficient and safe manner

  • Attendance of start-up, site visit, and design meetings.

  • Pre-construction process plan – develop, implement, and monitor.

  • Make sure that any alterations to the design and specifications are properly communicated.

  • During the procurement process, identify and pre-qualify subcontractors, produce specifications for purchasing materials and equipment, respond to queries, analyse bids, make award recommendations, and place orders.
