Ganger for CBUL

Reporting to: Supervisor / Civils Manager

Hours of work: 45 hours per week

Location: 1 x Sussex, 1 x in Hampshire

Experience Required

  • C1 + E Driver’s license (clean)

  • Able to work within a team

  • Able to receive and follow guidance and instruction

Role Purpose

To lead a team of up to two operatives undertaking civils work on the drainage network

Role Summary

  • To receive and follow instructions given by the Supervisor or Ganger on site

  • To load, transport and offloading plant, materials, tools, and equipment to site and from site

  • Work with the team on site to perform the 3rd person duties

  • To ensure that any vehicle you are driving is road worthy before you drive it by undertaking and recording daily vehicle checks

  • To ensure that any vehicle you drive is maintained clean and in good order

  • To ensure that any load you are transporting is properly secured

  • To always wear and ensure that everyone else on site, including visitors, also wear the mandated and appropriate personal protective equipment (clothing) which is provided by the Company

  • To work safely and in accordance with the training received, company work instruction and daily site-specific work risk (SSWR) assessments

  • To only use tools and equipment supplied by the Company and that you have been specifically trained and/ or accredited to use

  • To keep the vehicle, plant, tools, and equipment always clean and serviceable

  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post
