Browne Volunteers Partner with Canal & River Trust for a Day of Community Service

At Browne, we take immense pride in our commitment to giving back to the local community. This past week, our Helping Hands volunteers had the pleasure of spending a day with the Canal & River Trust, a valued charity within Enfield.

Our volunteers dedicated their day to clearing litter from the towpath along the canal, ensuring the pathway remained clean and inviting for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, we took the opportunity to paint the bridge, adding a fresh and vibrant touch to the canal area.

It’s important that we give back to organisations in our local community and helping the environment is important to Browne. We’ve built a strong relationship with the Trust over the years and we look forward to offering continued support.
— Helen McIntyre, Business Development

The day was not only productive but also incredibly enjoyable. It was a wonderful experience to bond with colleagues while making a tangible difference in our community.

I really love the way Browne are committed to helping the community around London and it’s something I’m always happy to be a part of. It’s a really great way to bond with the team.
— Eren Husseyin, Quantity Surveyor

To end the day on a buzz, we visited the beehives managed by the Canal & River Trust. It was fascinating to learn about the bees and their role in the local ecosystem. We even had the chance to sample some of the local honey, which is set to be harvested soon. It was a sweet and memorable end to a fulfilling day.

Our partnership with the Canal & River Trust is one that we cherish deeply. Over the years, we have built a strong and enduring relationship, consistently working together to support and enhance the natural beauty of Enfield. This event was a testament to our shared commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.

The most important thing for me is that Browne are a local company and they’re concerned about enriching the community in Enfield. They’re a pleasure to work with because they are always willing to support and get involved my ideas; whether that’s painting, planting gardens or tending to the beehives.
— Darren Starling, Volunteer Team Leader, The Canal & River Trust

At Browne, we are proud to contribute to the well-being of our local community and look forward to many more collaborative efforts with the Canal & River Trust.
