Key Competencies

Role Purpose

To assist in maintaining commercial control of Direct Labour, Subcontractors, Plant, Material, Consumable and Administration costs and Project Valuation; cost control and cost management and the validation of progress data to ensure accurate reporting to clients and central.

Role Summary

  • Knowledge, understanding and administration of respective entitlements and obligations under the main contract and sub-contracts.

  • Administration of contract records.

  • Assisting the management of sub-contract payments including negotiation of subcontract variations and monitoring and reconciliation of contra-charge accounts.

  • Collation of accurate information for monthly cost/ value reconciliations and contract reviews.

  • Audit, agreement and reconciliation of measurements against systemised actuals.

  • Weekly cost / value report generations.

  • Assist with target cost generation.

  • Assist with the production of financial and statistical reports as required.

  • Close liaison with, and provision of assistance to, operational and support staff.

  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.

Project Engineer for Enisca Browne

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Liaising with: SED, Planning, Commercial and Commissioning

Department: Project Delivery

Location: Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire

Key Competencies

  • NEC 3 knowledge and experience

  • HNC minimum in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • CSCS

  • SMSTS

  • 18th Edition of BS7671 (Electrical only).

  • Good communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD advantageous.

Role Summary

  • Responsibility for the coordination and delivery of projects ranging in values and complexity, ensuring all projects to be undertaken are to an agreed cost, scope, and program.

  • Support the SED team in the preparation the Project design and estimate (pre implementation)

  • Capable of working on several projects and managing the works awarded to suppliers/subcontractors.

  • Provide technical knowledge on the repair, refurbishment, or replacement of equipment & plant.

  • Pre-construction process plan – develop, implement, and monitor.

  • Attendance of start-up, site visit, and design meetings.

  • Management of scope change notices in accordance with the contract requirements (e.g., early warnings and compensation notices).

  • Produce information for Project level KPI’s

  • Managing project teams (direct and Subcontract) and accountability for project delivery.

Quantity Surveyor for Enisca Browne

Reports to: Commercial Manager

Liaising with: Client, Commercial Manager, Operations Teams

Department: Commercial

Location: Balcombe

Key Competencies

  • BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying

  • Demonstrable understanding of both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract work;

  • Proficient working knowledge of NEC 3 main and subcontract contract forms (essential);

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential);

  • Strong user of Excel, charts, pivots, lookups and sheet automation

Role Purpose

This pivotal position is to provide a quantity surveying role at project level, interfacing with operations and reporting to the management team. To act as a day to day link between the operational and commercial team. This role covers small to intermediate works groups, and contains the opportunity to progress the commercial function across the business.

Role Summary

  • Administration of NEC3 contracts, Options A and C including PSC;

  • Maintain contract project documentation;

  • Preparation and issue of EWN’s and CE’s to the supply chain and clients;

  • Attend weekly and monthly commercial meetings at a project level;

  • Monitor change control at a project level;

  • Liaise with the programmer(s) at a project level;

  • Pre, during and post contract liaison with clients and supply chain;

  • Supply chain negotiation and letting package of work;

  • Manage and value variations/ CE’s;

  • Preparation and submission of monthly valuations;

  • Preparation and submission of final accounts;

  • Preparation and submission of project tenders including follow up;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant client representatives and the supply chain;
