Barry Jones, Director of Operations at Browne, addressed the Future Water Association at their event in London earlier this month, sharing his expertise on quality assured water pipe installation. With over 25 years in leak detection and mains replacement, Barry joined a panel discussing “New Pipes Don’t Leak – Do They?” where he examined the ongoing risks of leakage in new infrastructure, driven by gaps in quality assurance, limited pressure testing, and the increasing role of Self Lay Providers (SLPs).

Browne Delivers Major Infrastructure Project Ahead of Schedule
We are proud to announce the successful and early completion of a critical infrastructure project in West London, undertaken in collaboration with Thames Water and five key partners. This project, located outside the strategically important West Brompton Station and spanning the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as well as Hammersmith & Fulham Council, required meticulous planning and seamless coordination between various stakeholders.
Browne and SGN Collaborate to Minimise Disruption: New Signage Unveiled On-Site
In a further major collaboration, Browne, together with SGN, is actively working to reduce disruption during the replacement of a 200m DI pipe with a 250mm PE pipe in the London Borough of Bexley. Thanks to the evolving scope of the project and combined efforts with Thames Water, over 70 days of disruption are expected to be saved.

Browne recently hosted a site walk-through for Transport for London (TFL) along Upper Tooting Road to see the Surbiton Trunk Mains Replacement Project. The visit provided an opportunity for the TFL Director and team to witness the progress of this essential infrastructure project, which is being delivered on behalf of Thames Water in cooperation with TFL and Wandsworth Council.
